Sara Swaty is a Los Angeles based documentary and portrait photographer with a BFA in Photography from Rochester Institute of Technology. Her work explores identity, gender, and disability. In 2019, her work was exhibited in Dresden, Germany and was awarded 3rd place for the Hellerau Photography Award. At the Eddie Adams Workshop in 2015, Sara was awarded the Reuters Mentorship Award. Featured by CNN, The Advocate, and World Photography Organization, other accolades include the Lucie Foundation Emerging Artist Scholarship shortlist. Saraâ€™s work has exhibited in New York City, Los Angeles, and Saint Louis and is a part of Leslie Lohman Museum's permanent collection.
